Stop looking.

While talking to one of my good friends today I really thought about how so many girls worry about finding that special someone --myself included. I will literally call my best friend up and we can discuss that topic for hours but lately I have been realizing that it is not what right now is about. For me, you, or anyone. It is hard to not think about especially being a girl, we drive ourselves crazy about who one day will be our husband. Social media does not make it any better either. There's tumblr to relate to everyone feeling this way, Pinterest to plan that wedding when you are not even seeing a boy, and then twitter to tweet the lyrics of you loving someone when you haven't talked to a man in about a week... I am guilty to all of those above! I mean it is hard not to! I think that a boy is that answer girls look for to their problems and insecurities in their own lives. But it is not. I think it took a breakup for me to realize this. Another person cannot make you happy only YOU can make yourself happy. Even if someone loved you so incredible much, if you did not love yourself first it may be very hard to let them in. So now what you need to do is not worry about that boy who doesn't give you the time of day, don't worry about having a date to prom, don't worry about not being married at 25, don't worry about having a boyfriend in college, and don't worry about what he thinks. Because when you stop looking for this "boy" you can learn about yourself, love yourself, and have all the confidence in the world about being you. And once you stop looking, think about all the other items in life you are ignoring like traveling, exploring, and just having fun with friends? Because when you finally do meet him, you will be able to give all of you to him. You will be completely comfortable and happy with yourself which will make it all the better. So fuck it and stop looking for Mr. Right because he is going to show up one day and it will be just as all the stories go. And when you stop looking, you truly find what you need in life at that moment. So just relax, love your life, and know how blessed you are and remember how great and wonderful you truly are. Because seriously you are.
